SUPPORT THE CAUSE

Minnesotans deserve a Citizens Conservation Council, similar to the ones that exist in nearly all other states. But it won’t happen without people and groups joining together to seek the support of Minnesota’s next governor.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

These groups already are supporting the call for appointment by the next governor of a Minnesota Citizens Advisory Council. We envision a group of between eight and 12 passionate, informed and experienced Minnesotans to advise the Governor, the Legislature and the DNR on critical issues affecting the state’s fish, game and wildlife.

Opportunities to Support the Cause

1 / educate

Talk to conservation, wildlife and environmental groups  you belong to. Educate them about the need for citizen input on topics such as wetland drainage, grassland preservation and reclamation and clean water.  Too often Minnesotans’ voices aren’t heard on these important topics — which is why the state finds itself in the state it’s in.

2 / Engage

Drum up support among your friends and family to vote for candidates that support the Council idea. We believe the next governor should lean on the Citizens Conservation Council when decisions are going to be made that affect not only present-day Minnesotans, but future Minnesotans as well.

3 / donate

Support the work of Minnesotans United for Conservation by making a donation today. Every contribution helps us protect Minnesota's natural resources for future generations.
