MINNESOTA CITIZENS’ CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL

MINNESOTA CITIZENS’ CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL

Objective · Guiding Principles · Year-One Agenda · Ongoing Agenda

The Minnesota Citizens’ Conservation Advisory Council exists to serve as a trusted, transparent, citizen-led liaison between the people of Minnesota and the agencies, legislators, and governor responsible for managing the state’s fish and wildlife resources.

The Council gives citizens and stakeholders a structured, credible channel to be heard — one that is independent of the DNR, insulated from partisan politics, and grounded in the experiences and priorities of Minnesota’s outdoor community across all five regions of the state. It advises the governor, the DNR commissioner, and the legislature, and advocates for the staffing, funding, and management decisions the public believes are necessary to protect and improve Minnesota’s fish, wildlife, and habitat for future generations.
